Strategic Financial Review and Planning Services

The Brantford health sector organization is seeking a consultant to conduct a comprehensive strategic financial review and support the development of a multi-year financial planning framework. This organization delivers specific programming in chronic disease management, mental health and addictions, and outreach to International Agricultural workers. The project aims to strengthen financial stewardship, identify opportunities and risks, align financial resources with strategic priorities, and inform future decision-making. The scope of work requires a strategic review of the current financial position and sustainability, alongside an assessment of financial risks, pressures, and opportunities. The selected consultant must support leadership in developing financial planning approaches aligned with organizational priorities and growth, as well as support the financial planning and tracking for a large-scale capital redevelopment project. The agency also requires recommendations to strengthen long-term financial sustainability and decision-making processes in a community health sector context. For the financial review portion, the agency requires an analysis of audited financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and relevant financial documentation. The consultant must analyze current funding structures, revenue streams, expenditures, and cost drivers, while assessing organizational financial trends and sustainability considerations. For the strategic financial planning portion, the agency requires the development of financial projections and scenario planning models, an assessment of alignment between strategic priorities and financial resources, and the identification of operational efficiencies. The agency is also requesting recommendations regarding reserve strategies, investment considerations, and financial planning practices where appropriate. Eligible bidders must be located onshore within Canada only. The performance of all contracted work will take place offsite. The contract period will span one year. The agency has not disclosed a set budget and is looking for proposals to define the cost. Bidders must submit all questions no later than July 3, 2026.
