Environmental Laboratory Services

The City of Columbia, Tennessee, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive environmental laboratory services. The agency requires precise analysis of industrial pretreatment samples, wastewater plant influent, effluent, and sludge samples to monitor and manage its water quality systems. This testing is essential for regulatory compliance and environmental safety within the local government authority's jurisdiction. The scope of work covers testing for a wide range of specific chemical compounds, metals, and organic materials. The required analyses include, but are not limited to, silver, arsenic, cadmium, cyanide, cyanide total, chromium III, chromium VI, chromium total, copper, mercury, low-level mercury (1631E), molybdenum, nickel, oil, grease, lead, total phenols, selenium, toluene, benzene, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, ethylbenzene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, tetrachloroethylene, trichloroethylene, 1,2 trans dichloroethylene, methylene chloride, low-level naphthalene (8270D), naphthalene, and total phthalates. Additionally, the agency requires testing for ammonia nitrogen, chlorine total, nitrate+nitrite-N, total dissolved solids, total kjeldahl nitrogen, phosphorus, antimony, beryllium, calcium, hardness as CaCO3, iron, magnesium, thallium, 625.1 BNA/SVOC, 624.1-VOA, full TCLP, biosolids, surfactants (CTAB, CTAS, and MBAS), 5-day biochemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids, 608.3 Pest/PCB, total settleable solids, lithium, aluminum cobalt, manganese, sodium, diesel range organics (C10–C28), extractable petroleum hydrocarbons (C10-C40), oil range organics (>C28-C40), gasoline range organics (C6-C10), total nitrogen, volatiles, zinc, and biomonitoring. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. Performance of the contracted work must take place onsite. The agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services. Bidders must submit any questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 14, 2026.
