Unified Development Code Re-Write and Comprehensive Plan Update Service

The City of Griffin, Georgia is seeking a consultant to perform a unified development code re-write and a comprehensive plan update. The agency needs to align its Unified Development Code and Land Use Map with state, federal, and local regulations, city standards, and future development needs. The project aims to establish conventional zoning standards in newer, largely built-out areas while implementing standards that support walkable, mixed-use neighborhoods in established and future development areas. The selected consultant must assist city staff in obtaining and utilizing community and stakeholder input throughout the process. The scope of work requires the consultant to identify issues needing further review and provide an outline for meetings to establish content, regulations, and amendments. The agency expects the final code and land use maps to be consistent, concise, and reflective of the city's comprehensive plan. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency allows the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. The contract period will span two years, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget. All questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted to the agency no later than July 24, 2026. The agency will evaluate proposals based on the submitted details to select the most qualified consultant for this two-year contract.
