Sales and Operations Support Services

The Erie County Industrial Development Agency in Buffalo, New York, is seeking a consultant to provide sales and operations support services to assist with its day-to-day telecommunications operations. The agency is attempting to solve the critical need for high-speed fiber broadband internet access for all residents, which is essential for education, economic growth, and community retention. By securing these services, the agency aims to increase competition and improve quality within both the residential and commercial broadband industries. The scope of work requires the selected consultant to perform duties typically associated with a Chief Operating Officer. These responsibilities include assigning a primary point of contact for general operations, creating and overseeing customer interaction processes, and assisting the Executive Director with budget development, forecasting, and reporting. Additionally, the consultant must support federal, state, and local regulatory filings, develop plans to achieve annual budget and sales targets, ensure positive customer experiences, and manage installations to guarantee they are completed on time and within budget. Eligible bidders must have technical knowledge of broadband infrastructure buildout requirements, experience executing sales and marketing plans in the telecommunications industry, and experience providing operations management services. The agency requires all performing vendors to be onshore within the United States, and the work will be performed offsite.
