Comprehensive Downtown Parking Study and Management Plan Service

The City of Shelton, Connecticut, is seeking a multi-disciplinary transportation planning, traffic engineering, or urban planning consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive downtown parking study and management plan. The municipality needs to evaluate the existing parking supply and demand, project future parking needs based on pipeline developments, and obtain actionable, modern recommendations to alleviate current friction points and prevent future deficits. This initiative aims to solve current parking inefficiencies and proactively prevent future parking shortages through infrastructure and technology modernization. The scope of work requires the selected firm to catalog all current public and private parking spaces, including restrictions, time limits, enforcement hours, and physical conditions. The project covers empirical data collection, utilization and demand analysis, future projections, gap analysis, and the development of recommendations and an implementation plan. The agency also requires recommendations for modern parking management tools to modernize infrastructure and technology. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency allows the performance of the work to be conducted either onsite or offsite. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
