Hearing Officer Services

The Littleton, Arizona government authority is seeking a vendor to provide hearing officer services to act on behalf of the district's Governing Board. The agency needs a hearing officer to conduct student suspension hearings and ensure both the officer and the schools strictly follow district policy, board discipline policies, and state statutes. This role solves the district's need for an impartial, knowledgeable authority to manage the disciplinary hearing process and determine appropriate student measures. The scope of work requires the hearing officer to listen to the school's case against a student, ask questions, listen to the student's response, and allow parents reasonable time to state their case. The officer must request a disciplinary recommendation from the school administrator, decide whether to accept or reject it, and apply appropriate measures based on district policies. Following the hearing, the officer must write a Finding of Facts Report indicating the decision and forward it to the District Office, as well as attend Governing Board hearings whenever expulsion is recommended. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The selected vendor must perform all hearing officer services onsite in Littleton, Arizona.
