Aeronautical Appraisal Service

The government authority located in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a vendor to provide professional aeronautical appraisal services. The agency requires an appraisal on 158.62 acres of developed aeronautical land situated at the city international airport. The property to be appraised includes ten 160-foot by 725-foot flow-through hangars with 150-foot by 40-foot cantilevered doors designed to support up to 42 737-800 aircraft. The scope of the appraisal covers extensive airport infrastructure, including apron space suitable for more than 200 aircraft and over 240,000 gallons of fuel storage capacity. The site also features 261,000 square feet of office, shop, and service bays, alongside aircraft paint, strip, and wash facilities. Additional structures on the property include a 16,000-square-foot bead blast hangar, a wastewater treatment area, and direct access to Runway 18/36 via Taxiway A. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The selected contractor must perform all appraisal work onsite at the Birmingham facility. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for this project, and bidders must submit all questions no later than July 8, 2026.
