South Africa - GLOBAL- GIS Based Risk and Adaptation Framework Service

The agency is seeking a GIS-based risk and adaptation framework service. This service will support a government authority in South Africa. Experienced universities, research institutions, civil society organizations, or consortia with expertise in climate resilience, maritime transport, GIS, and infrastructure research are eligible to bid. The project covers partnership formalization and the development of a study design memo. This memo will detail the conceptual framework, GIS methodology, data sources, target journal, and analysis plan. The scope of work includes a GIS-based risk and adaptation analysis. The consultant will build an integrated geospatial analysis layering climate hazard, port activity, and adaptation data. The project also requires a manuscript and an embedded investment framework. The consultant will draft, internally review, and finalize a manuscript suitable for submission to a chosen peer-reviewed journal. Eligibility is global. Performance of the work will be offsite.
