State Medical Director Services for Trauma System

The Mississippi State Department of Health seeks sealed bids from qualified USA organizations to provide state medical director services for the statewide trauma system. The required individual must be a practicing trauma surgeon licensed in Mississippi who currently practices in a trauma center. The designated medical director will serve as the physician advisor for the State Trauma System and provide offsite clinical leadership to develop, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve the system. This role involves collaborating with the State Trauma Program, Trauma Advisory Committee, hospitals, Emergency Medical Services, public health partners, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated, evidence-based trauma system. The buyer requests proposals to establish the project budget. Before awarding a contract, the agency requires bidders to document their capabilities to provide the specified core services and potentially submit additional client references and related project experience. Bidders must submit all questions by August 31, 2026. Bidders must deliver sealed bids before 10:00 am CST on September 16, 2026.
