The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute requires contractor support to build a cohort of individuals with sickle cell disease who received gene therapy or hematopoietic cell transplantation, and to sustain long-term follow-up activities. The contractor must perform work in a scientifically sound manner, provide qualified staff with clinical and technical expertise, maintain operations, support core study operations and independently funded ancillary studies, ensure compliant data handling, and support orderly contract transitions.
