Blind Cane Tapping Training Services

The government authority located in West Sacramento, CA requires a vendor to provide blind cane tapping training services. The buyer seeks on-site, virtual, and/or phone orientation and mobility assessments and training services. The selected contractor must deliver orientation and mobility training for the proper use of a blind tapping cane following the initial assessment. Additionally, the contractor must provide cognitive skills training through an introductory program for incarcerated persons who are newly blind or have experienced a vision change. This program must introduce basic independent living skills, including organization skills, time management, adaptive aids usage, personal hygiene, food preparation, clothing care, and proper housekeeping. Work performance will occur offsite. The buyer accepts proposals from onshore United States organizations only and currently seeks proposals for the budget.
