Cremation Services

The Fresno, CA government authority requires a contractor to provide cremation services for a one-year period. The vendor must transport decedents from the morgue, file death certificates and permits, cremate decedents within state-mandated timelines, box and label remains in suitable containers, provide pre-printed authorization forms, and pick up deceased individuals within three business days of receiving documentation. Additional scope requirements include receiving abandoned decedents, advising of crematory changes, scattering or shipping cremains as authorized, and providing scattering certificates or proof of delivery to the county. Performing cremations within the county is preferred, but not mandatory. Eligibility requires onshore vendors located in the USA, and performance of the work takes place onsite. Vendors must submit proposals indicating budget details. Digital responses can be submitted online or via email. Vendors must submit all questions no later than October 01, 2026.
