Law Firms and Individuals Interested in Serving as Special Counsel Redevelopment Service

The Town of Guttenberg seeks Requests for Qualifications from law firms and attorneys to serve as Special Counsel – Redevelopment to provide legal guidance and litigation services. The requested scope includes conducting legal research, writing advisory opinions, drafting ordinances, resolutions, legal notices, contracts, and bid specifications, representing the Town in court and administrative forums, attending Town Council meetings, and conducting legal programs for officials or employees. Attorneys licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey with significant experience representing New Jersey municipalities in municipal law are eligible to bid. Law firms or individual attorneys must be onshore USA organizations, complete required compliance forms, and provide proof of business registration with the New Jersey Division of Taxation prior to contract award. The contract term runs for one year from January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027. Selection criteria include experience and references, while proposals must detail costs including hourly rates and total "not to exceed" amounts.
