Special Education Corrective Action Specialist Service

The Maryland State Department of Education needs a special education corrective action specialist to assist with state complaint corrective action processing. The specialist must review and analyze corrective action documentation, draft closing letters, and collect data on complaint allegations and findings for fiscal years 2024 through 2026. Bidders must be USA organizations and meet mandatory requirements, including a Bachelor’s degree in special education, LEA experience, writing skills, data analysis skills, and work experience with special education regulations. Work will occur offsite, virtually, and at 200 West Baltimore Street in Baltimore, MD. Bidders must submit a letter of interest, resume, updated W-9, and signed Exhibit A bid form electronically through eMaryland Marketplace Advantage by October 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Questions must be submitted in writing to Procurement Officer Jeremy Wilson by October 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM. MSDE will evaluate bids based on the lowest total price among responsive bidders meeting all mandatory requirements. The contract period will last one year, and the total cost may not exceed $49,999.00.
