4th of July Firework Display Services

The City of Iowa City seeks a qualified onshore USA vendor to plan, furnish, and execute a 30-minute professional Fourth of July fireworks display in downtown Iowa City at Hubbard Park. The selected vendor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, insurance, safety measures, set up, and coordination for a show scheduled to begin at 9:45 p.m., within a $35,000 budget. The contract period will run for one five-year term covering annual event dates. Eligible bidders must possess proven experience producing large-scale public fireworks displays, hold a required Federal Explosives License/Permit, obtain a permit from the Iowa City Fire Department, and provide ten-million-dollar fireworks liability insurance. Vendors must submit proposals digitally online via Ion Wave by October 30, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. CT; faxed, emailed, and hard copy proposals will not be accepted. All questions must be submitted in writing through the Ion Wave platform by October 22, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. CT. Proposals must include a letter of submission, show options with itemized pricing, proof of credentials, insurance certificates, a signed Wage Theft Affidavit, and references from similar entities.
