Financial Audit Services

Cypress County requires a qualified professional accounting firm to deliver independent external financial auditing and financial reporting services for the municipality. The selected auditor must conduct annual financial statement audits covering statements of financial position, operations, cash flows, net financial assets or debt, accumulated surplus, taxation, capital assets, grants, and associated schedules in accordance with Public Sector Accounting Standards, Canadian Auditing Standards, and Alberta legislative requirements. The contract term spans three years, with two optional one-year extensions. Eligibility is limited to Canadian organizations that are legally established professional accounting firms authorized to provide audit services. Proponents must maintain professional liability insurance and possess demonstrated experience auditing public-sector entities, specifically having completed financial statement audits for at least three Canadian municipalities.
