Yard Waste Disposal and Processing Services

The City of Buffalo Department of Public Works, Streets & Sanitation Division seeks qualified, licensed organic waste management and composting vendors to provide comprehensive yard waste disposal, hauling, or processing services. The selected onshore USA vendor will perform offsite work handling organic yard waste—including leaves, brush, tree branches, limbs, and stumps—by providing drop-off facility access, delivering monthly volume reports, and ensuring 100% compliant organic processing under NYSDEC Part 360 regulations. The anticipated contract term is a five-year base period with an optional two-year renewal, though proposers may recommend alternative timelines.
