Medical Director Services

The County of Union requires a full-time, onshore USA physician to provide onsite Medical Director services for the Union County Family Clinic in Elizabeth, NJ. The selected physician will provide clinical team leadership, develop guidelines and standing orders, supervise staff, perform quality assurance, participate in care meetings, audit medical records, and engage with the local medical community. Eligible proposers must hold a valid New Jersey MD/DO license, DEA and CDS registrations, a driver’s license, proof of PPD and immunizations, and meet credentialing requirements, while possessing required commercial liability, auto, workers' compensation, professional liability, and SAM insurance coverages. Qualification proposals must be physically delivered via mail or hand delivery to Carolyn Sullivan Kropp, Esq., Office of the County Counsel in Elizabeth, NJ, by 11:30 A.M. EST on October 29, 2026; late, faxed, or emailed proposals will not be accepted. The contract term runs from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027. Proposers are evaluated on public health or community clinic knowledge, Medical Director experience, primary care residency completion, or board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine. Proposers must submit proposal pricing and comply with New Jersey Business Registration and Affirmative Action rules if specific contract thresholds are exceeded.
