Technical Editing Services

The Government of Alberta requires technical editing services under Contract No. CON0026190 to support document development, formatting, and preparation for highway and bridge maintenance manuals, specifications, and request for proposals packages. The scope includes assisting with wording, liaising with subject matter experts, reviewing specifications, organizing documentation in SharePoint, incorporating legal feedback, and attending regular project meetings. Eligible vendors must be onshore within Canada, perform work onsite, and possess a minimum of five years of experience in technical writing, editing, and document preparation for large, complex technical documents. Proponents must submit proposals via email to [email protected] by November 16, 2026, at 11:30 p.m. Alberta time. Submissions require two separate PDF files in a single email: a searchable PDF "Qualification Submission" package and an "RFP Fee Proposal Submission" package proposing an hourly rate to a maximum upset fee. Proposals are scored out of 100 points based on qualifications, experience, track record, reference projects, project comprehension, and a fee evaluation that awards the highest score to the lowest total weighted average hourly charge out rate.
