Employee Benefits Legal Counsel Services for Oakland County Retirement and VEBA Boards

The Oakland County Retirement and Deferred Compensation Board and Oakland County VEBA Board require employee benefits legal counsel services for a four-year contract term. The selected vendor will provide offsite third-party advice to enable informed decision-making regarding the retirement system and its administration. Scope of work includes attending board meetings, reviewing retirement policies and procedures, advising on domestic relations orders, and helping develop board and member handbooks. Eligible vendors must be onshore USA organizations. Proposers must submit questions no later than November 6, 2026, and full proposals are due by November 30, 2026. Submissions must remain binding for 90 calendar days following the due date. The contractor must meet strict insurance requirements, including maintaining $5,000,000 per claim and aggregate in Professional Liability/Errors & Omissions Insurance without exclusions for fiduciary advice.
