Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Executive Director Search Firm Services RFP

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Board of Directors requires an executive search firm or individual to coordinate the search for a new Executive Director. The selected vendor will develop a search plan and application process, conduct stakeholder interviews, perform initial candidate screenings, verify credentials and background checks, assist with finalist interview logistics, advise on compensation and transition planning, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Eligibility is open to onshore US organizations. Questions must be submitted via email to Regina Speaker by 5:00 PM EST on November 2, 2026. Proposals are due by 12:00 PM EST on November 6, 2026, and must be submitted digitally via email. Submissions must follow the specified RFP format, including a cover letter, firm resumes, work plan, fee schedule, and at least three references from educational service agencies. The MCIU will evaluate proposals based on the quality and completeness of the submission, understanding of objectives and scope, evaluation criteria, and references, rather than selecting solely on the lowest price.
