Modernized Medicaid Management Information System and Claims Processing and Management System

The Alabama Medicaid Agency is seeking a vendor to modernize its Medicaid Management Information System and Claims Processing and Management System. The agency needs to re-platform its current system to a scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud computing solution. This modernization effort aims to resolve inefficiencies by enhancing user interfaces, increasing business process automation through an industry-standard workflow solution, and improving the Benefit Plan Administration system to support human-readable rule exports and a restructured program policy hierarchy. The scope of work covers establishing an Information Technology Infrastructure Library-aligned Service Desk for agency support and enhancing existing web-based, self-service portals for members and providers. The selected vendor must also create advanced dashboards and metric reporting to track contractual service level agreements, key performance indicators, workflow metrics, call center metrics, and streamlined modular certification needs. All performance of the work will occur offsite. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget, and the resulting contract period will span four years. Bidders must submit all questions no later than May 18, 2026, and the final responses can be submitted digitally via email or online.
