The Sacramento-based government authority is seeking a vendor to provide high-speed internet services to its jurisdiction. The agency is attempting to solve the "last mile" connectivity problem by implementing fiber optic technology directly into homes and businesses, replacing slower existing copper, cable, or satellite systems. This new network will enable the rapid transmission of voice, data, and video across the region. The scope of work covers seven distinct projects across three service areas, totaling approximately 1,065 route miles and passing 31,427 homes. The selected vendor must perform all work offsite. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget for this initiative. Interested parties must attend a pre-bid meeting scheduled for May 11, 2026. Bidders must submit all questions regarding the opportunity no later than June 8, 2026.
