Fatherhood Initiative Services

The Polk County government authority in Des Moines, Iowa is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive fatherhood initiative services. The agency is trying to strengthen families, promote work, and foster self-sufficiency to end dependence on government benefits. The scope of work covers positive fatherhood education, family economic advancement, child care selection and engagement, financial literacy, and employment readiness programming. The selected provider must also deliver access and visitation supports, fatherhood peer support groups, relationship building, and wrap-around fatherhood services. Additionally, the project requires the delivery of reentry support for incarcerated fathers. The agency is requesting that all performance of the work occur offsite. Only organizations based onshore in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. Bidders must submit any questions regarding the procurement no later than May 15, 2026. The agency is planning for a contract period of three years. The agency is looking for proposal submissions to determine the budget for this initiative.
