Workforce Development Services

A Florida government authority is seeking a vendor to provide workforce development services to address long-standing shortages of clinicians, allied health professionals, and direct care workers in rural communities. These shortages are driven by geographic isolation, limited training opportunities, and persistent Health Professional Shortage Area designations across primary care, dental, and behavioral health disciplines. To solve this problem, the authority is implementing a Workforce Development Initiative that advances a two-pathway strategy aligned with an approved Clinical Training Investment Opportunity funding structure. The scope of work covers curriculum development and program expansion in health sciences, allied health, and direct care occupations within rural high schools and community colleges. The selected vendor must strengthen Career and Technical Education pathways aligned to rural health care employment needs, including dual enrollment or accelerated programs. Additionally, the project requires creating partnerships between educational institutions and rural health providers to support clinical shadowing, practicums, hands-on skills training, and competency-based learning. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The authority requires the performance of the work to be completed offsite. The contract period will span one year. The authority has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to define the cost.
