Employment and Day Program Services

The Pierce County government authority located in Tacoma, Washington is seeking a vendor to provide employment and day program services for working-age adults with developmental disabilities. The agency aims to help these individuals attain and maintain community-based employment while earning competitive wages. The requested services must assist participants in securing integrated employment at or above the state minimum wage in the general workforce. The scope of work covers two distinct service models to support individuals on their pathway to employment. Individual Employment services must be tailored to individual needs, interests, and abilities to promote career development through intake, discovery, assessment, job preparation, job marketing, job supports, record keeping, and job maintenance assistance. Group Supported Employment services must provide short-term, ongoing supervised employment for groups of no more than eight workers with disabilities in the same setting, utilizing models such as enclaves, mobile crews, or other small-group business models in community settings. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. The selected vendor must perform all work onsite in the Tacoma, Washington area. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a specific funding limit or key procurement dates in the initial solicitation.
