The Town of La Plata, Colorado is seeking a qualified vendor to provide professional legal services in the role of Town Attorney. The selected attorney or firm will fulfill all duties and responsibilities of the position, which includes rendering advice on all legal questions affecting the Town. When requested by any Town official, the attorney must reduce these legal opinions to writing. Bidders must submit a list of all municipal clients with whom the firm or individual has worked over the past five years. The agency also requires three municipal client references and the firm's Martindale-Hubbell rating. Only onshore vendors located within the United States are eligible to apply for this opportunity. The contract period will span one year, and the performance of all legal work will occur offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a pre-set funding limit. All questions regarding this procurement must be submitted to the agency no later than August 21, 2026.
