Investigative Services

The Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia requires a vendor to provide investigative and physical surveillance services to its special investigation unit on an as-needed basis. The agency is seeking to supplement its in-house investigative resources when current internal capacity is unavailable. The selected contractor must supply qualified investigators, vehicles, and all necessary equipment to perform the requested duties. The scope of work covers conducting physical surveillance, capturing video evidence, and compiling detailed investigation reports. The agency requires that all obtained video footage becomes its exclusive property and demands technical services to permanently blur the faces of third parties to make them unidentifiable upon request. The accompanying written reports must document all pertinent information and describe all observed activities, regardless of whether the investigator captured them on video. Eligible bidders must be Canadian organizations, and the performance of the work will take place offsite. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and pricing structure for these as-needed services. Interested parties must submit their expression of intent no later than June 5, 2026.
