Older Americans Act Services

The Area Agency on Aging in Weslaco, Texas is seeking a vendor to deliver comprehensive services under the Older Americans Act. The agency needs to address the nutritional, access, and supportive care needs of its local senior population. This initiative aims to ensure older adults have access to essential meals, transportation, and caregiving resources within the community. The scope of work covers nutrition services, including congregate and home-delivered meals, alongside nutrition outreach and education at multipurpose senior centers. The selected vendor must also provide access services such as medical transportation and general transportation to essential programs and community resources. Additional supportive services include caregiver education and training, services for grandparents raising grandchildren, senior center operations, homemaker services, caregiver support coordination, and social reassurance wellness checks. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based exclusively in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all contracted work to take place offsite. The agency will host a pre-bid meeting on June 18, 2026, to discuss the project requirements. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 25, 2026.
