Elevator Inspection Services

The Douglas County government authority located in Castle Rock, Colorado, requires as-needed elevator inspection services to ensure public safety and regulatory compliance. The agency is seeking a qualified vendor to perform plan reviews and inspections for new conveyances, including elevators, escalators, and moving walks in commercial, institutional, and residential construction. Additionally, the agency needs routine safety inspections of existing, in-service conveyances to satisfy state safety mandates. The scope of work covers twice-yearly general safety inspections of existing commercial elevators and lifts, as well as annual internal and external safety inspections of existing commercial escalators. All inspections must comply strictly with the Colorado Elevator and Escalator Certification Act, Title 9, Article 5.5. The selected inspector must notify the owner, the contractor if applicable, and the County of any discovered deficiencies, and they must immediately terminate conveyance operations if they detect life safety hazards. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services and will accept digital submissions via email or an online portal.
