Physician Services

The Genesee County Youth Corporation, or a similar government authority located in Flint, Michigan, requires a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive physician services for its center. The agency needs to solve the problem of ensuring continuous, high-quality medical oversight and care for its clients, both through scheduled onsite visits and constant emergency availability. The selected provider will manage routine and emergency medical needs, ensuring that all clients receive proper medical examinations within seven calendar days of their admission. The scope of work covers conducting annual physical examinations, supervising hospital care as needed, and providing up to two hours per week of onsite medical services at mutually agreeable times. The provider must maintain a twenty-four-hour, seven-day-a-week on-call telephone availability for consultations and urgent matters. Additionally, the physician must review, monitor, and oversee medical records during onsite visits, document all services rendered, report medical department concerns to the Center Director, and provide court testimony if subpoenaed regarding any client. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all medical work to be conducted onsite at the Flint, Michigan facility. The contract period will span a duration of two years, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget.
