Legal Representation Concerning Water Rights Service

The Town of Monument, Colorado, is seeking specialized legal representation to manage and protect its municipal water resources. The selected legal counsel must handle the preparation, filing, and prosecution of water rights applications, as well as file statements of opposition to protect the authority's interests. Additionally, the attorney or firm will represent the agency in negotiations for current and future water resource projects and oversee the administration of existing water rights. The chosen provider must work cooperatively with the agency's existing legal counsel and execute an acceptable legal engagement agreement. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States with demonstrated experience advising governmental entities and municipal utilities on water law. The agency will allow the selected partner to perform the work either onsite or offsite.
