Immigration Law Assistant Counsel Service

The government authority located in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking immigration law assistant counsel services to support its institutions. The agency needs legal advice on immigration law matters, including the implementation of and revisions to institutional policies affected by these laws. The selected vendor will assist with drafting, reviewing, and monitoring visa applications, immigration petitions, waiver requests, and related correspondence. The scope of work covers advising and representing the institutions in the recruitment and retention of foreign staff, faculty, and physicians. The agency also requires assistance with administering the international exchange visitor program and programs supporting foreign and undocumented students. Additionally, the service provider will advise on permanent residency applications for postdoctoral candidates, exempt staff, and faculty, and represent foreign staff on employment-related international travel and visa matters. The project further entails assisting with the establishment or audit of institutional immigration policies and procedures. The agency requires counsel on foreign nations' local laws, international laws, and treaties related to the employment of assigned individuals, alongside other related services. The contract period will span five years, and the performance of all work will take place offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States.
