Stage Rigging Production and Labour Services for Entertainment and Event Services

The City is seeking a vendor to provide stage rigging production and labour services for entertainment and event services. The agency needs to secure qualified event production personnel to support agency-hosted and City-supported entertainment and event activities. This contract solves the challenge of coordinating and executing all stage crew and event production labour requirements across varying schedules. The scope of work covers the provision of professional stage riggers, stage production needs, and labour services during daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday hours. The selected vendor must provide skilled personnel across a range of production roles, including lighting, audio, and camera operators, grips, wardrobe personnel, loaders, pushers, carpenters, set construction and props personnel, runners, catering assistants, vehicle operators, and crew chiefs or stewards. The project also requires the installation and dismantling of event production systems and infrastructure, such as rigging systems, cables, motors, drapery, staging, speakers, monitors, lighting and audio equipment, and related components. Additionally, the vendor must provide dedicated runners and vehicles as required, ensuring appropriate licensing, insurance, and compliance. Services unrelated to event production labour and stage crew operations are excluded from this scope. To be eligible for this opportunity, bidders must be an onshore organization based in Canada. The performance of all work must take place onsite. Bidders must also register on the Issuing Authority website in order to download the unwatermarked request for proposals. The agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services. The City will provide event schedules in advance, including anticipated dates, times, and labour requirements, to coordinate the necessary coverage.
