Fountain Intersection Enhancements Service

The City of Fresno, California is seeking a qualified contractor to perform safety and infrastructure enhancements at two key intersections. The agency aims to improve pedestrian safety and traffic visibility at the intersections of Cedar and Shields, and Cedar and Fountain. This project addresses the need for modernized traffic control measures and safer pedestrian crossings in these specific areas. At the intersection of Cedar and Shields, the scope of work requires the installation of retroreflective backplates, advance stop bars, and leading pedestrian intervals. For the intersection of Cedar and Fountain, the requested services include installing intersection lighting, high-visibility crosswalks, and a pedestrian hybrid active crosswalk, as well as reconstructing the curb returns. All physical work must be performed onsite at these designated locations in Fresno. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to submit proposals for this opportunity. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for cost proposals from interested bidders. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 11, 2026, to discuss the project requirements.
