Elevator Maintenance and Inspection Services

The City of Live Oak, Texas, is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive elevator maintenance and inspection services. The agency requires these services to ensure the safe, reliable, and code-compliant operation of all municipal elevators and related vertical transportation equipment. This initiative addresses the ongoing need for systematic preventative care, safety testing, and rapid repair services across various equipment types, including hydraulic, traction, machine-room-less, and limited-use elevators, as well as wheelchair and platform lifts. The scope of work covers monthly full-service preventive maintenance, annual inspections, required safety testing, troubleshooting, callback services, and repairs. The selected contractor must furnish all certified or licensed technicians, labor, supervision, materials, replacement parts, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, tools, and equipment. Specific tasks include regularly examining, adjusting, cleaning, lubricating, testing, repairing, and replacing covered components, as well as verifying proper startup, leveling, door operation, signaling, and passenger safety functions. The contractor must also inspect machine rooms, control rooms, hoistways, pits, car tops, and landing entrances while checking for abnormal noise, vibration, heat, odor, fluid leakage, loose components, and code or safety issues. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency will award a contract for a one-year period, and the performance of the work will take place offsite.
