Job Development Specialist Services

The government authority located in Reed, Michigan requires job development specialist services to focus on employer outreach and labor-market engagement on behalf of the justice-impacted population. The selected vendor will build professional relationships with businesses and industries by utilizing business listings and making cold calls. The agency is not seeking direct employment assistance or participant-level services through this contract. The scope of work requires the contractor to routinely contact current and new employers and arrange appointments to visit company representatives responsible for hiring and training workers. The contractor must coordinate with economic stability providers to support hiring events conducted within the thirteen-county service area. Additionally, the agency requires the contractor to maintain different data and reporting tools for the thirteen-county region. The contractor must attend events within correctional facilities in collaboration with the community coordinator and prison staff. The required services also focus on employer outreach and recruitment efforts, post-placement follow-up with employers and clients, and troubleshooting and intervention with employed clients. Performance of all work must take place onsite. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity.
