Fire Alarm Inspection, Smoke Detector Sensitivity Test, Sprinkler Inspection, Fire Hydrant Flowing Test and Hood Inspections, Preventive Maintenance and Repair Services

The Western Virginia Regional Jail Authority in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive fire protection inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair services. The agency requires these services to ensure the continuous safety and operational readiness of its life safety systems. The scope of work covers seven fire alarm panels and all associated devices, nine hundred forty-five smoke heads, three kitchen hoods, and twelve fire hydrants. The selected contractor must perform one annual fire alarm system inspection, one annual smoke detector sensitivity test, and four quarterly smoke detector sensitivity tests. The agency also requires four quarterly and one annual sprinkler inspections, two bi-annual hood inspections, and one annual fire hydrant flowing test. Technicians performing the work must be properly trained, experienced, and competent in fire protection systems. The contractor must notify facility management immediately upon discovering any defective work or materials during the inspection process before proceeding with further actions. Eligibility is restricted to onshore United States organizations. The agency expects the performance of the work to occur offsite, and the contract period will run for one year.
