Two-Way Radios and Associated Rental Service

The Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority in Pomona, New York, is seeking a contractor to provide two-way radios and an associated rental service. The agency requires a fully operational communications system to support approximately 120 units with a minimum of six talk groups. This system must utilize a central control channel architecture, provide automatic repeater assignment, and support RSSI-based roaming between sites. The scope of work covers the furnishing, installation, programming, maintenance, repair, and support of all rented equipment. This equipment includes mobile radios, portable radios if required, accessories, associated components, and Team Connect accessibility. The rental agreement must also encompass wide-area UHF digital trunking service, unlimited airtime and service access, installation and removal services, and ongoing system management and support. Bidders must perform all work offsite and must be located onshore within the United States. The agency is seeking proposals to determine the budget for this project. The contract period will span four years, and bidders must submit all questions no later than June 9, 2026.
