RFI for Construction Services

The government authority located in Washington is seeking information and proposals for comprehensive construction services. The agency needs to solve complex site preparation and infrastructure development challenges, particularly involving excavation near existing utilities and underground waste storage tanks. The project covers vertical, shored excavation of a vault, estimated to be sixty feet by forty feet and fifty feet deep, to facilitate the installation of a below-grade steel waste storage tank. The scope of work requires retaining wall formwork, rebar installation, concrete pouring, curing, and the excavation and installation of electrical infrastructure. Bidders must handle the fabrication, inspection, testing, and installation of electrical infrastructure and connections. The agency also requires excavation, grading, forming, and concrete placement for process equipment, a chiller unit, an exhaust unit, a loadout station, walkways, and a spent ion exchange column storage pad. The selected contractor will install a three-and-a-half-foot thick concrete vault, install retaining walls, and perform a significant amount of excavation in a tank farm near existing utilities. The project also includes paving a new road and parking lots with striping, parking blocks, and signage, as well as procuring, constructing, and installing a prefabricated building and instrument enclosures. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore, United States organizations. The agency requires the physical performance of all construction activities to take place onsite.
