Lake Cyanobacteria Management Plan Development Service

The City of Olympia, Washington is seeking a qualified vendor to develop a complete Integrated Lake Cyanobacteria Management Plan for a local lake. The agency is attempting to mitigate eutrophication and reduce harmful algal blooms by identifying and addressing phosphorus and nitrogen nutrient sources within the targeted lake ecosystem and its surrounding watershed. To achieve this, the project requires a comprehensive assessment of nutrient sources, including evaluating the specific impacts of aquatic plant vegetation and non-migratory waterfowl on the lake's nutrient load. The selected vendor must perform all work offsite and develop a tailored, science-based phosphorus management plan based on the assessment findings.
