Lake Cyanobacteria Management Plan Development Service

The City of Olympia, Washington, is seeking a qualified vendor to develop a complete Integrated Lake Cyanobacteria Management Plan for a local lake. The agency is attempting to mitigate eutrophication and reduce harmful algal blooms by addressing nutrient sources in the targeted lake ecosystem. To solve this problem, the selected vendor must conduct a comprehensive assessment of phosphorus and nitrogen sources within both the lake and its surrounding watershed. The scope of work requires identifying the specific impacts of aquatic plant vegetation and non-migratory waterfowl on the lake's nutrient load. Based on these scientific findings, the agency requires the development of a tailored phosphorus management plan and a comprehensive strategy to reduce nutrient inputs.
