Climate Change Adaptation Plan Service

Haldimand County, a municipal authority located in Ontario, is seeking a qualified vendor to conduct a community-wide climate risk assessment of its core municipal services. The agency needs to develop a comprehensive, practical, and community-informed climate change adaptation plan to enhance local resilience to climate impacts. This project aims to establish a strategic roadmap for effective, equitable, inclusive, and sustainable climate change adaptation solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable environmental standards and regulatory requirements. The scope of work requires the selected vendor to provide expertise, training, and guidance in developing a climate change adaptation framework. The vendor must prepare collaborative project deliverables with input and review from municipal staff and stakeholders, ensuring all outputs align with existing Haldimand County plans, policies, operational frameworks, and community priorities. Additionally, the project covers the design and implementation of an inclusive stakeholder engagement and communication strategy involving municipal departments, jurisdictional Conservation Authorities, local businesses, Indigenous communities, equity-deserving groups, and diverse community residents. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in Canada. The agency expects the performance of the work to be conducted offsite.
