First Aid for Entertainment and Event Services

The government authority located in Alberta is seeking qualified first aid personnel, equipment, and on-site medical support for hosted and city-supported entertainment and event activities. The agency needs to ensure safe, timely, and professional first aid response aligned with applicable legislation, industry standards, and event-specific risk profiles. This procurement addresses the requirement for prompt response to medical incidents, assessment, treatment within certification scope, and coordination with emergency medical services when escalation is required. The scope of work covers first aid services delivered on an as-required basis and scheduled in advance by the designated event representative. The selected provider must deliver coverage for events occurring during daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday hours, consistent with the monthly schedule provided by the city. This coverage spans the full operational period of each event, which may include set-up, active event hours, and tear-down, as well as multi-day events, extended hours, and late-night operations. The scope excludes medical care beyond first aid and the administration of prescription medications. Eligible bidders must be Canadian organizations. The performance of the work will take place entirely onsite in Alberta. Bidders must register on the issuing authority website in order to download the unwatermarked request for proposals. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget for this initiative. The contract period will span five years.
