Nights of Lights Services

The City of St. Augustine, Florida is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive services for its annual Nights of Lights program. This holiday attraction has grown from a local tradition into a nationally recognized seasonal lighting display. The agency requires a contractor to manage the timely installation, operation, and maintenance of nearly 500,000 individual lights across approximately 100 locations. The scope of work covers historic and modern buildings, parks, trees, shrubs, and medians. The selected contractor must install and manage various switching systems, including time clocks, portable timers, photo-sensors, and computer-managed systems. All designated sites must illuminate simultaneously on the initial night of the program, known as Light-Up! Night. The contractor must perform minor repairs on the electrical support infrastructure with city approval both before and during the event. The agency also requires nightly inspections, including on holidays, with any necessary repairs completed immediately or within 24 hours. Additionally, the contractor must secure all required permits for displays placed on non-city properties included in the program. Eligibility is limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget for these services. Bidders must submit all questions no later than June 29, 2026, and responses can be submitted digitally via email or online.
