Food Operations Services

The government authority located in New York, New York is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive food operations services. The agency needs to ensure access to fresh, nutritious, affordable, and tasty food and beverages by managing dining rooms, cafeterias, catering, and related services. To promote health and well-being, the agency requires menus that encourage the consumption of vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and minimally processed foods, while minimizing salt, added sugars, saturated fats, red meat, and artificial additives. The scope of work covers food menu planning, purchase, preparation, and presentation, as well as food service worker training and certification. The selected vendor must handle capital improvement planning and implementation, which includes the planning and implementation of new dining locations and modifications to existing dining operations. Additionally, the agency requires marketing and benchmarking, a marketing and communications plan, marketing outcomes reports, merchandising, promotions, and catering menus with defined pricing and policies. Bidders must submit a detailed staffing plan for food service operations and highlight key operational aspects. To be eligible for this opportunity, the bidder must be an onshore organization based in the United States. The performance of the work will take place either onsite or offsite over a contract period of five years. The agency is currently looking for proposals and has not disclosed a specific budget.
