Municipal Court Prosecutor Services

The City of Steamboat Springs, Colorado is seeking a part-time, contracted attorney or law firm to perform municipal court prosecution services. The selected provider will deliver professional legal services on behalf of the city, focusing primarily on municipal court prosecution and code enforcement. This role requires conducting legal research, preparing and reviewing legal documents, prosecuting ordinance violations, and handling any matters arising out of municipal court proceedings. The contracted attorney must work closely with the staff attorney, city attorney, city departments, law enforcement personnel, and other agencies to ensure consistent enforcement of the city's codes and ordinances. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The city permits the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. The city has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to define the financial terms. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 23, 2026.
