The Stanislaus Council of Governments in Modesto, California is seeking a vendor to provide federal advocacy and lobbying services to assist in developing and successfully pursuing its legislative priorities. The agency requires a consultant to serve as a reliable and consistent conduit of information to and from the United States Senate and House of Representatives. The selected vendor must monitor and track all federal bills, resolutions, files, journals, and histories relevant to the agency. The scope of work requires the consultant to transmit the agency's interest positions on key legislation to the federal legislature, congressional staff, committees, federal agencies, and other interested organizations. The contractor must also coordinate legislative and regulatory efforts on behalf of the agency. All work will be performed offsite, and eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States.
