The Town of La Plata, Colorado is seeking a qualified vendor to provide professional legal services in the role of Town Attorney. The selected attorney or firm will fulfill all duties and responsibilities of the Town Attorney position, which includes rendering advice on all legal questions affecting the Town. When requested by any Town official, the attorney must reduce these legal opinions to writing. Bidders must submit a list of all municipal clients with whom the firm or individual has worked over the past five years. The agency also requires three municipal client references and the firm's Martindale-Hubbell rating. Eligibility is restricted to onshore vendors located within the United States, and the performance of all work will occur offsite. The agency is establishing a contract period of one year.
