The City of Mission, British Columbia is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive consulting legal services to support its local government operations. The agency requires legal expertise across a broad range of municipal areas to address its ongoing regulatory, developmental, and administrative needs. The scope of work covers interpretation of the Community Charter, the Local Government Act, and other provincial and federal legislation, as well as land use, land development planning, and bylaw enforcement. The selected legal partner will also handle matters involving leases and licences, liability claims, First Nations, environmental issues, and procurement and contracts. Additionally, the agency requires legal support for freedom of information and protection of privacy, conflict of interest, municipal development corporations, forestry management, and labour and employment. The agency intends to award a contract with a performance period of five years. Only organizations based onshore in Canada are eligible to bid on this opportunity. Bidders must perform all legal work offsite. The agency accepts digital proposal submissions either via email or through their online portal, and the evaluation will consider proposals that outline the bidder's pricing structure. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 4, 2026.
